1. Renter Cancellations

Once a booking is confirmed, RIGR commits real resources to it well before your equipment arrives on site — a transport vehicle, an operator, our maintenance team, and spares held in reserve specifically to keep your machine running with minimal downtime. We plan for this proactively: we don't wait until deployment to arrange for breakdowns, and we don't go looking for an operator on the day the machine is due. Because of this advance planning, a late cancellation means costs already committed toward your booking can no longer be recovered or redirected elsewhere. The deduction below scales with how much notice you give us, reflecting how much of that committed cost we can still avoid or reassign.

Cancellation charges are calculated against the security deposit collected at booking:

  • More than 48 hours before the scheduled start: 25% of the security deposit is deducted; the remainder is refunded.
  • Between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled start: 50% of the security deposit is deducted.
  • Less than 24 hours before the scheduled start: the higher of (a) one month's rental value for the booked equipment, or (b) the full security deposit amount, becomes chargeable.

Any rental fee paid beyond the amount described above is refunded per the timelines in Section 5.

2. Owner-Initiated Cancellations

If an Owner cancels a confirmed booking, RIGR will attempt to find comparable replacement equipment at no extra cost to the Renter. If no suitable replacement is available, the Renter receives a full refund of amounts paid for that booking.

3. Security Deposits

Where a security deposit is collected, it is refunded after a post-rental inspection confirms the equipment was returned in the condition expected for normal wear and use. Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days of that inspection. If damage beyond normal wear is found, the cost of repair may be deducted from the deposit, with an itemised explanation provided to the Renter.

4. Disputes Over Damage or Condition

If a Renter disagrees with a damage assessment, they can raise it with our support team within 7 days of the inspection; we'll review the evidence (photos/inspection notes) from both sides before finalising any deduction.

5. Refund Method and Timeline

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the booking. Processing time depends on the payment method and gateway, typically 5–10 business days after a refund is approved.

6. Force Majeure

Where a booking cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond either party's reasonable control (natural disaster, government restriction, extreme weather), RIGR will work with both parties toward a fair outcome — typically a full refund or a rescheduled booking — rather than applying standard cancellation charges.
